Seedbed preparation

Stubble breaking is one of the most important field operations. According to the proper agricultural procedures, it should be done as soon after harvest as possible. For this operation the SWIFTERDISC XE can be equipped with serrated or aggressive discs with a diameter of 520 × 5 mm or 560 x 5 mm, providing excellent cutting, mixing with soil and incorporation of crop residue. The rear packers compact soil and close the cultivated soil profile to ensure even emergence of weeds and unwanted cereal seeds.

The small disc diameter in combination with a high working speed provide a high circumferential speed of the discs, which leads to excellent crumbling and mixing effect of the disc section. If you are planning to use the disc cultivator for soil preparation more frequently, we recommend adding the front Crushbar leveller to the SWIFTERDISC XE for levelling and breaking the rough furrow.

HYDRAULIC SETTING

Easy and fast disc cultivator working depth setting.

The required working depth is set precisely using hydraulics. The machine working depth can be easily set using tipping clips on the hydraulic cylinders of the disc cultivator.

CRUSH BAR LEVELLER

Use the disc cultivator for soil preparation as well.

To increase the all-year-round utilization, the SWIFTERDISC XE wide cultivator can be equipped with the hydraulically controlled Crushbar leveller in the front. This combination provides perfect soil profile levelling, clod crumbling, and soil preparation.

TANDEM AXLE SHIFTED FORWARD

Contributes to ideal weight distribution.

The SWIFTERDISC XE wide disc cultivators have the transport axle shifted forward, in front of the first disc section row. This design contributes to ideal weight distribution and allows it to achieve higher working speeds. The telescopic connecting rods help stabilize frames where the disc sections are mounted.

EVEN WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION

Always the same down pressure on both frames of the disc section.

Maintaining the set working depth for even soil profile processing is the foundation of quality soil cultivation. The SWIFTERDISC XE cultivators provide the same pressure on discs along the entire machine width thanks to the axle being moved forward and the concept of two folding side frames. The structural design of the machine reduces the number of hydraulic cylinders where side frame pressure could be lost. This design also reduces the number of points of lubrication, the overall wear of the machine, and it simplifies manipulation with the machine, both in the field and on the road.

CONTINUOUS AND FAST TURNING AT HEADLAND

With the support wheels and rear rollers.

The SWIFTERDISC XE wide disc cultivator is easily manoeuvred at headlands. The machine turns on the rear rollers and front support swivel wheels at headlands, only the disc section is lifted up without the need to lift up the entire frame. This design eliminates the negative load on the hitch and unloads the tractor when the machine is in the headland position.

FORWARD MACHINE FOLDING

Provides compact dimensions and safe transport.

Even with the working width of 12.4 m, the SWIFTERDISC XE cultivator is very compact in transport mode, because it does not exceed the transport width of 3 metres and the height of the machine is just below 4 metres. Such parameters are achieved thanks to the forward side frame folding, towards the drawbar.

Axle shifted forward

Provides ideal distribution of the machine weight and contributes to precise adherence to the set working depth thanks to the identical pressure on the disc section.

Front double support wheels

Provides excellent terrain tracing and maintains the set working depth along the entire width of the machine.

Crush bar leveller

The hydraulically controlled Crushbar leveller is especially suitable for initial surface levelling and for breaking the rough furrow before the disc section. The individual leveller strips are reinforced. It is easily controlled using the hydraulic circuit from the comfort of the cabin.

Disc section

Disc section with serrated or aggressive discs, with a diameter of 520 / 560 × 5 mm, and high throughput thanks to the Twin-Disc system.

Long drawbar

Provides safe turning at headlands and enables the forward side frame folding.

MAINTENANCE-FREE BEARINGS

The ball bearings with an oblique contact are closed by two static and one dynamic cassette seal with four sealing ribs, and they move in a solid metal body. The bearings are attached to the disc with six bolts. They are oversized, which ensures a trouble-free operation.

RUBBER SEGMENT DISC PROTECTION

The mounting of two discs on one tine provides twice the space for rubber segment protection. The rubber segments absorb shocks formed during soil cultivation. The cultivator works fast and without maintenance, even in very difficult conditions. The rubber is high quality, with a long service life.

TWIN-DISC MOUNTING SYSTEM

One tine for two discs provides a high material throughput. Crop residue can easily flow through the machine (large quantities of straw, crop residue after grain maize). Most disc cultivators only have one tine per disc. Such design restricts the flow of material namely in wet conditions, or when there are large quantities of crop residue.

Aggressive discs

The specially shaped discs offer a higher cutting and mixing effect. They also penetrate soil better in the dry season. The aggressive disc discs have a lot of cutting edges along the circumference for easy incorporation of a large quantity of crop residue. The sharp blades efficiently cut crop residue. Moreover, the profiled shape allows bringing out more soil. Available with a diameter of 520 × 5 and 560 × 5 mm.

Serrated discs

The disc section is usually equipped with serrated discs with a diameter of 520 x 5 mm; the diameter of 560 x 5 mm is available on request.

RUBBERPACKER + scrapers

The Rubberpacker is a solid packer made of hard natural rubber, suitable for any conditions. The levelling effect is excellent thanks to the packer weight. Soil adhesion to the packer is almost none thanks to the rubber and scrapers. Packer diameter 590 mm. Weight: 217 kg/m (including scrapers).

V-RING Packer + scrapers

V-RING is a heavy steel packer suitable for intense crumbling and reverse soil compaction. The packer is suitable for all types of soil. Packer diameter 630 mm. Weight: 169 kg/m (including scrapers).

Double V-RING Packer

V-RING is a packer with individual rings shaped in a V. The packer has an outstandingly low stickiness, which prevents the packer from clogging when wet. The rows are offset, which provides an excellent self-cleaning effect. The double packer increases machine stability at work. Packer diameter 630 mm. Weight: 162 kg/m.

Double U-RING Packer (600 mm)

The U-RING packer is a double-row steel packer. The rows are offset, which provides an excellent self-cleaning effect. The packer is great for crumbling, and the U-shape rings and the low risk of clogging make it suitable for work in wet conditions. The double packer increases machine stability at work. Packer diameter 600 mm. Weight: 230 kg/m.

Quality and fast stubble cultivation is one of the most important operations in tillage. According to good agrotechnical practices, it should be carried out as soon as possible after the harvest.
