The semi-mounted STRIEGEL-PRO PN harrow excels in a simple machine design with a five-row rod section, with individual rods measuring 16 × 700 mm. This arrangement provides for a large overlap of the individual rods. The rod section can be easily set from the tractor cabin using the hydraulics. The working angle of the two rear rows can be adjusted mechanically and completely independently on the angle of the first three rows.
The individual sections of the working width (PN 6000 and 7500 models have two sections, PN 9000 model has three sections) are mounted on the machine frame using an independent suspension of the working sections. This well-proven design ensures perfect terrain tracing.
The hydraulically controlled Crushbar leveller is especially suitable for spring soil cultivation, initial surface levelling, and breaking the rough furrow. The individual leveller strips are reinforced and 80 mm wide. The leveller is easily controlled using the hydraulic circuit from the comfort of the cabin.
The specially shaped TURBO coulter is made of a cutting disc with a sharp edge that easily penetrates soil. The coulter only brings a small amount of soil up. The sharp edge is suitable for reducing the stalk length of cereals, oilseed crop, or for aerating grassland.
The front, screw-shaped Trash Cutter roller is equipped with sharp blades. The small roller diameter enables it to achieve a high circumferential speed. The roller provides an excellent cutting effect in processing the stalks of oilseed rape, sunflower, or catch crop. Thanks to that, the crop residue is mixed with soil better, which accelerates its decomposition. The down pressure of the roller is controlled hydraulically from the tractor cabin.
The STRIEGEL-PRO PN mounted straw harrow can be equipped with the BEDNAR ALFA DRILL seeding unit while in production, for seeding catch crop, small-seed crop, or for applying micro-granulate in crop residue management in one pass. The time and fuel savings are considerable. The seeding unit has a capacity of 400 or 800 litres.
The rods may get worn faster especially when working in stubble fields in the dry season, therefore, we recommend equipping the straw harrow with LONG LIFE rods that have carbide tips. The LONG LIFE rods have a longer service life. The quality of work does not change in relation to the wear when using the LONG LIFE rods.

Cuts crop residue, namely the stalks of sunflower, corn or oilseed rape, and facilitates their incorporation and mixing with soil. The optimal size of crop residue accelerates decomposition.
The five-row rod working section provides perfect overlapping of the individual rods for an intense working effect. Rods with a dimension of 16 × 700 mm.
The LONG-LIFE rods for the straw harrow are made of spring steel with a diameter of 16 mm, and their tips are fitted with carbide. The LONG-LIFE rods increase quality of work and provide an outstanding durability.
The individual sections of the straw harrow working width are suspended independently. The design provides perfect tracing of terrain unevenness and maintains the set working depth.

CROP RESIDUE MANAGEMENT
Processing crop residue after harvest is important for several reasons. Crop residue is a source of organic matter therefore it is not desirable to simply leave it in the field without attention. Crop residue may be unevenly spread which aggravates soil cultivation and the clumps facilitate the spread of diseases and breeding of pests.
