The new SWIFTERDISC XE_MEGA wide disc cultivator model, with a respectable working width of 18.4 metres, designed for the most powerful tractors on the market to achieve the maximum daily output. The working width of 18.4 metres is also suitable for controlled traffic farming systems (CTF).

Stubble breaking is one of the most important field operations. According to the proper agricultural procedures, it should be done as soon after harvest as possible. For this operation, the SWIFTERDISC XE_MEGA can be equipped with serrated or aggressive discs with a diameter of 520 × 5/ 560 × 5 mm, providing excellent cutting, mixing with soil and incorporation of crop residue. The rear packers compact soil and close the cultivated soil profile to ensure even emergence of weeds and unwanted cereal seeds.

X-PRECISE SYSTEM

Perfectly precise disc cultivator guidance in the right track.

The wide SWIFTERDISC XE_MEGA models also have disc sections arranged in the shape of an X. This innovative technical design eliminates drifting of the machine to the side. This allows the disc cultivator to precisely trace the tractor track. The central disc reduces the risk of ridge formation.

DISCS AS TRACTOR TRACK CULTIVATORS

A sophisticated design in every detail.

The SWIFTERDISC XO_PROFI can be equipped with unique tractor track cultivators for perfect loosening of the hardened soil layer. Adding spacers between disc holders can increase the working depth of the discs behind the tractor wheels against other discs in the row by 2-4 centimetres.

EVEN WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION

Always the same down pressure on both frames of the disc section.

Maintaining the set working depth for even soil profile processing is the foundation of quality soil cultivation. SWIFTERDISC XE_MEGA cultivators provide the same pressure on discs along the entire machine width thanks to the tandem axle having been moved forward and the concept of two undivided folding side frames. The structural design of the machine reduces the number of hydraulic cylinders where side frame pressure could be lost. This design also reduces the number of points of lubrication, the overall wear of the machine, and it simplifies manipulation with the machine, both in the field and on the road.

COMFORTABLE TURNING AT HEADLAND

Lifting up the disc working section is all you need to do.

The SWIFTERDISC XE_MEGA wide cultivator is easily manoeuvred despite its maximum working width of 18.4 metres, even at headlands. The machine turns using the rear rollers, the front support swivel wheels, and the transport axle. This design eliminates the negative load on the hitch and takes the load off the tractor when the machine is in the headlands position.

PREPARED FOR CTF SYSTEM THANKS TO THE WORKING WIDTH OF 16,4 - 18,4 METRES

Reduced numbers of passes and soil compaction.

The CTF (controlled traffic farming) system eliminates soil compaction and optimises the passes of the individual sets. When working, the individual sets travel across the field in the given grid of the working width (6, 12, 18, 24 m, etc.), which prevents the formation of uneven compaction in the field as well as in the tracks that can be easily tilled.

Forward folding of side frames.

Even with the largest working width of 18.4 metres on the market, the SWIFTERDISC XE_MEGA wide disc cultivator is very compact in transportation, because it does not exceed the transport width of 3 metres and the height of the machine is just below 4 metres, even when equipped with double V-RING or U-RING rollers. Such parameters are achieved mainly thanks to the forward side frame folding, towards the drawbar. The tandem transport axle with wide-base tyres ensures a smooth ride.

OUR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES

MAINTENANCE-FREE BEARINGS

The ball bearings with an oblique contact are closed by two static and one dynamic cassette seal with four sealing ribs, and they move in a solid metal body. The bearings are attached to the disc with six bolts. They are oversized, which ensures a trouble-free operation.

RUBBER SEGMENT DISC PROTECTION

The mounting of two discs on one tine provides twice the space for rubber segment protection. The rubber segments absorb shocks formed during soil cultivation. The cultivator works fast and without maintenance, even in very difficult conditions. The rubber is high quality, with a long service life.

TWIN-DISC MOUNTING SYSTEM

One tine for two discs provides a high material throughput. Crop residue can easily flow through the machine (large quantities of straw, crop residue after grain maize). Most disc cultivators only have one tine per disc. Such design restricts the flow of material namely in wet conditions, or when there are large quantities of crop residue.

X-PRECISE SYSTEM OF THE DISC SECTION

The unique technical design ensures precise machine guidance in the track. Thanks to that, the entire width of the disc cultivator is used because there is no drifting of the machine.

Disc section

Aggressive discs

The specially shaped discs offer a higher cutting and mixing effect. They also penetrate soil better in the dry season. The aggressive disc discs have a lot of cutting edges along the circumference for easy incorporation of a large quantity of crop residue. The sharp blades efficiently cut crop residue. Moreover, the profiled shape allows bringing out more soil. Available with a diameter of 520 × 5 and 560 × 5 mm.

Serrated discs

The disc section is usually equipped with serrated discs with a diameter of 520 x 5 mm; the diameter of 560 x 5 mm is available on request.

Rollers and packers

V-RING Packer + scrapers

V-RING is a heavy steel packer suitable for intense crumbling and reverse soil compaction. The packer is suitable for all types of soil. Packer diameter 630 mm. Weight: 169 kg/m (including scrapers).

Double V-RING Packer

V-RING is a packer with individual rings shaped in a V. The packer has an outstandingly low stickiness, which prevents the packer from clogging when wet. The rows are offset, which provides an excellent self-cleaning effect. The double packer increases machine stability at work. Packer diameter 630 mm. Weight: 162 kg/m.

Double U-RING Packer (600 mm)

The U-RING packer is a double-row steel packer. The rows are offset, which provides an excellent self-cleaning effect. The packer is great for crumbling, and the U-shape rings and the low risk of clogging make it suitable for work in wet conditions. The double packer increases machine stability at work. Packer diameter 600 mm. Weight: 230 kg/m.

Quality and fast stubble cultivation is one of the most important operations in tillage. According to good agrotechnical practices, it should be carried out as soon as possible after the harvest.
