SWIFTERDISC XN is a compact disc cultivator with a short frame. The working width from 3 to 5 metres is particularly suitable for smaller farmers. The machine is available as rigid or folding. The disc cultivator can be also used for seedbed preparation. Just like the larger SWIFTERDISC models, this line also includes some interesting equipment.

Stubble breaking is one of the most important field operations. According to the proper agricultural procedures, it should be done as soon after harvest as possible. For this operation, SWIFTERDISC XN can be equipped with serrated or aggressive discs with a diameter of 520 × 5 mm, providing excellent cutting, mixing with soil and incorporation of crop residue. The rear packers compact soil and close the cultivated soil profile to ensure even emergence of weeds and unwanted cereal seeds.
The optimal diameter in combination with the high working speed provide a high circumferential speed of the discs, which leads to excellent crumbling and mixing effect of the disc section.
The mounted version of the SWIFTERDISC XN cultivator can be equipped with ballast weight from 100 to 200 kg. The ballast weight helps discs penetrate soil and improves their work, especially when working in dry conditions.
Despite their compact dimensions, the SWIFTERDISC XN cultivators have outstanding frame clearance. The distance between the front and rear disc rows is up to 80 centimetres. The frame clearance is about 60 cm and enables incorporation of larger quantities of crop residue or organic fertilizer.
The SWIFTERDISC XN cultivator can be equipped with the BEDNAR ALFA DRILL seeding unit while in production, for seeding catch crop and small-seed plants during stubble breaking, all in one pass. The time and fuel savings are considerable. The seeding unit has a capacity of 400 litres.
To ensure safe transport, the side discs are folded upwards. The discs can be folded mechanically, or hydraulically in the comfort of the cabin. The hydraulic design is especially suitable when the machine is transported on roads more frequently. The full working width of three metres is achieved by unfolding the side discs into the working position.
The SWIFTERDISC XN cultivator is aggregated with the tractor’s three-point hitch. The compact and short frame of the disc cultivator ensures safe transport, because the centre of gravity is close to the rear axle of the tractor.

The ball bearings with an oblique contact are closed by two static and one dynamic cassette seal with four sealing ribs, and they move in a solid metal body. The bearings are attached to the disc with six bolts. They are oversized, which ensures a trouble-free operation.
The mounting of two discs on one tine provides twice the space for rubber segment protection. The rubber segments absorb shocks formed during soil cultivation. The cultivator works fast and without maintenance, even in very difficult conditions. The rubber is high quality, with a long service life.
One tine for two discs provides a high material throughput. Crop residue can easily flow through the machine (large quantities of straw, crop residue after grain maize). Most disc cultivators only have one tine per disc. Such design restricts the flow of material namely in wet conditions, or when there are large quantities of crop residue.

The aggressive disc discs have a lot of cutting edges along the circumference for easy incorporation of a large quantity of crop residue. The sharp blades efficiently cut crop residue. The Rubberpacker is a solid packer made of hard natural rubber, suitable for any conditions. The levelling effect is excellent thanks to the packer weight. Soil adhesion to the packer is almost none thanks to the rubber and scrapers. Packer diameter 590 mm. Weight: 217 kg/m (including scrapers).
This packer consists of a tube and slatted packer with different diameters. The packer is suitable for cultivating medium and light types of soil in drier conditions. Packer diameter 470 and 370 mm. Weight: 132 kg/m.
V-RING is a heavy steel packer suitable for intense crumbling and reverse soil compaction. The packer is suitable for all types of soil. Packer diameter 630 mm. Weight: 169 kg/m (including scrapers).
The tube packer is made of massive steel rods with a good crumbling effect, particularly when reaching higher working speed. Packer diameter 630 mm. A suitable design for light soils. Weight: 121 kg/m.
Used for even distribution of larger soil particles along the entire machine width.
STUBBLE CULTIVATION
Quality and fast stubble cultivation is one of the most important operations in tillage. According to good agrotechnical practices, it should be carried out as soon as possible after the harvest. This will ensure the optimization of soil moisture management, the rapid emergence of weeds and thus prevent the later weeding of land.
